Rediscover. Reclaim. Restore.

Navigating the process,
so you don’t have to.

Reclaiming abandoned assets is difficult and complex. Industry knowledge and experience is required to successfully reclaim abandoned property and funds from the State in a timely manner. We administer and manage your claim, start to finish, expertly steering it through the maze of the bureaucratic system. Read on to learn more about the details of the process.

What We Do

Step 1

We find you.

The State of California maintains a record of abandoned assets (like bank accounts, stocks, bonds, uncashed checks, etc.) according to their Unclaimed Property Law. As a registered asset recovery company, the State of California releases information on all reported abandoned assets to us. Using this information, we then employ a variety of investigative techniques to try and locate your current contact information.

Step 2

We connect with you.

Once we’ve tracked down accurate contact information, we notify you about your lost property. Our initial connection with you will be by post or a phone call. Our goal is simply to notify you that you are entitled to abandoned assets. At this point, you are under no obligation to utilize our services. If you choose to work with us, we get started right away on filing your claim.

Step 3

We do the work.

This stage is all about paperwork and documentation. We assist in collecting necessary documents, filling out forms to specification, scheduling and paying for a mobile notary, reviewing and creating a claims package, and finally, submitting that package to the State. We follow up on and monitor the progress of your claim. You don’t do a thing. All along the way we’re here to keep you informed on the status of your claim.

Step 4

You receive what is legally yours.

Our process ends when you receive your check from the State. The length of time it takes for the State to process your claim can vary, but it usually takes California between 6 months to a year. Your money comes directly to you from the State Controller’s Office. The State pays the fee directly to Graviteq. We aren’t compensated through the State until your property is restored to you.
